Am I eligible to vote in New Jersey?
In New Jersey, you are eligible to vote if:
You're a U.S. Citizen
You're at least 17 years old (but must be 18 by Election Day)
You've been a resident of any county in New Jersey for at least 30 days
You CANNOT vote in New Jersey if you are currently serving a sentence, or are on probation or parole for a felony conviction. If, however, you've recently finished a sentence, including probation and parole, you can register to vote as a new voter.

Online/By Mail: October 8, 2024
In-person: November 5, 2024
How do I vote by mail in New Jersey?
An individual may vote by mail in New Jersey after completing a specific vote-by-mail application. The completed applications get sent to the County Clerk. Ballot-by-mail applications must be received by the County Clerk at least 7 days before the election.

All applications to vote by mail must be received by mail unless you are in the military or considered an overseas voter. In that case, faxed or emailed copies of the application are accepted.
What do I need to bring to the polls in New Jersey?
You may be asked to show a photo ID when you arrive at your polling location. It's important to bring an ID with you, even if you've already provided one during voter registration. Be sure to bring a current, valid photo ID. Expired IDs are not accepted.
