Am I eligible to vote in Mississippi?
To be eligible to vote in Mississippi, you must be:
A citizen of the United States
A resident of the state of Mississippi and the precinct in which you are registered to vote for at least 30 days before the election
At least 18 years of age on Election Day

How do I request an absentee ballot in Mississippi?
If you would like an absentee ballot, you can request one by contacting your local Circuit Clerk. However, you must meet certain criteria to be eligible to vote via absentee ballot in Mississippi. Some of those criteria are being:
Away from your county on Election Day
Unable to vote in person without significant hardship because of a temporary or permanent disability
65 years of age or older
Required to be working on Election Day when the polls are open
If you are a member of the Uniformed Services, are serving away from your home county, or are a citizen traveling abroad, you can vote using the Federal Voting Assistance Program (FVAP), as per the Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act.
What special accommodations are available?
There are certain accommodations in place for voters with disabilities in Mississippi. If you are permanently disabled, you can register for the disabled voters list and you will automatically be sent an absentee ballot for every election.
If you are disabled, but still able to get to the polls, you may be able to use a voting machine designed to accommodate voters with disabilities. Additionally, you can ask for personal assistance from an election worker.
