When is Louisiana's voter registration deadline?

In Louisiana, you must be registered to vote at least 20 days prior to election day if it's through the online system. If you're registering in person or by mail, you must register 30 days prior to Election Day.

How do I request a ballot by mail or absentee ballot in Louisiana?

You must have a specific reason in order to vote by mail. For example, those in the military, people working overseas and individuals with disabilities may request to vote by mail. In order to request an absentee/mail-in ballot, you need to log in to the Louisiana Voter Portal and complete the absentee questions.
